avoiding useless things

Allah says: People who stay away from useless talk and actions (Al-Mukminun: 3)

Also: People who don’t lie, and when they pass by useless stuff, they walk away with dignity (Al-Furqan: 72)

Leaving useless things means letting go of stuff that brings no harm, but also no benefit.

Why? Because maybe we’re avoiding something harmful and doing something better.

What counts as useless? Anything we should throw away or avoid, whether words or actions.

One example: the heart enjoying sin — that feeling is useless and dangerous.

We should throw it away because it pulls the soul towards sin.

Desires can grow strong from this, and push us to do things we know are wrong.

And when we feel like worship is hard, it’s often because the soul is already pulled toward that uselessness.
