Be fair when you lead
Allah says:
"Allah commands you to return trusts to the rightful people and when you judge between people you must judge with justice." (QS An-Nisaa: 58)
The Prophet said:
"Seven kinds of people will get shade from Allah on a day when there is no other shade. One of them is a just leader." (HR. Bukhari 66 and Muslim 1031)
Being fair helps more than just yourself. It's a good act that benefits others. It reflects the character of the Most Merciful.
The Prophet also said:
"Those who are just to their families and the people they lead will be placed on special pulpits of light next to Allah." (HR. Muslim 1827)
