Patience in the fight for worldly things
The Prophet ﷺ said, “you will see people fighting over the world after my death.” (HR. Al-Bukhari 2793, Muslim 1059 from Anas)
People who truly understand things don’t place high value on the world. So, when they lose something, they don’t even call it patience. They see it as a gift being taken back, and they are thankful. That’s not called being patient. That’s called knowing.
But when someone slips and becomes greedy, then patience is needed. And in that moment, you’ll see the kind of patience prophets and chosen people had.
But if someone’s heart is already full of knowing, then there’s no need to be patient. Because to them, nothing feels like a loss in the first place.
